About
A simple tool for curious readers
byepaywall is a small, free tool that helps you find another way to read an article. Paste a link, pick a service, and we pass your link to an independent archive or reader.
Why it exists
Paywalls are everywhere, and sometimes you just want to read the one article a friend sent you. We built byepaywall to make that quick, with no account to create and no clutter in the way.
What we don’t do
We don’t host articles. We don’t store the links you paste. We don’t track you around the web.
Support the work
byepaywall is free and has no ads. If it saves you time, you can support it on Ko-fi. And if there’s a publication you read every week, please subscribe to it.
What we stand for
Three simple promises
Free for everyone
No sign-up, no fees, no premium tier.
